Recipe Ideas
Berries are great in;
Smoothies (Saskatoon berries have 100% RDA[Recommended Daily Allowance] of magnesium which is good for overall health)
Eating frozen berries like mini fruit popsicles
Topping on cereal, fresh berries are best
Grind up in the blender frozen berries and add to Ice Cream, berry cinnamon buns, butter tarts, fruit crisps or anything you desire.
Here's a recipe I really like:
2 cup graham wafer crumbs
1/2 cup melted margine
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Spoon into bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.Then melt 1 package of marshmellow in 1/2 cup of milk pour over crust, let cool.
Top with Saskatoon berry pie filling (add a little almond flavoring to the pie filling, optional) if you like top with cool whip or whipping cream.
